yeah those sub forums and things help just as much. i agree with you there. it helps to get your mind off stuff and it helps to know that you arent alone out there. even if we can relate on what music or shows we like, you wouldnt believe how much it helps to just feel normal for a while. and yeah the games and stuff like that help alot too cause it means that we dont always have to be serious. help doesnt just mean helping someone with a problem or something like that, it actually helps alot just to talk, about anything and everything. ya know.

Although I am an admin on SpeakOut, I cannot speak for the whole site, as I know other's opinions there are very different to mine about the whole situation.

I personally am aware of there needing to be no rivalry - in fact, I'm a member of about 4 help sites. I use a number of them to get myself a range of different opinions and ideas. Some of you may not remember this, but SpeakOut actually became what it is today by 2 different sites becoming 1. After the fall of Exasko there were 2 different sites made, and in order to eliminate any rivalry between members, they joined together to become one community. That shows me that there really is no need for rivalry between sites.

I also understand what you said, Glenn, about Isaac not being able to show his weaknesses. Like Mark, I have seen this theory put into practice on SpeakOut. I missed the unfortunate actions that took place on Exasko before it went down because I was on holiday - I just came back home to a mess!

However, I feel somewhat awkward posting on this site not because of rivalry but because I know there are people not wanting me to do so - both on this site and on SpeakOut. So I'll be around, but not hugely active for the time being. Its good to see all you guys though

Its okay to have an opinion, I do think we are better than Speakout. So? Alot of people agree with me, and alot of people disagree, their is nothing wrong with that.

I simply don't agree in that. I don't belive man is essentially good. Competition is natural and I doubt these feelings between the forums will go away. Its just wishfull thinking to say that, unless we combine them.

I one for thinking that no matter how messed up a situation is, people do what they have to do because they believe it is the right choice at that time.
so to Issac, i have no ill will towards, he did a lot of good, and the site going down, no biggy, its the internet, sure it was a nice place, was like my second home i loved that site, but in the end it was the internet, its big.

I think people get too flustered when their online. everyone should keep in mind that arguing online is like the special Olympics, even if you win, your still retarded.
I try not to argue cause it just makes the parties involved look like a bunch of ass hats.

I think that its really kool that we've gotten a second chance here, we should be more grateful because we may not get another.

maybe to resolve some issues, the speackout link could be posted in the related links column.

I think the points I was trying to convey were:
- Its not a rank contest. We arent here just to be the biggest and then best.
- Negativity doesnt promote growth, nor does it give people hope.
- There are always two sides in arguments, most times both with valid points.
- Support whoever you like, as long as your supporting them for the cause.
(the cause being to help one another)

I dont know, maybe thats why I posted it in rants, then it doesnt matter if noone else understands my anger!:lol:

i suppose wolven just wanted to end some of the hatreds or grudges some of us hold, or at least state the unfairness he feels with the remaining negative feelings. we are here for everyone, no matter what sites they are on, no matter which ones they prefer, and we try to accomodate whatever we really want to talk about. maybe the other sites feel the need for competition, obviously if they run on ads (as we majorly are) then it's nice to have a lot of page hits and a few donations here and there. however, what i feel is the vibe just to make everyone feel at home and welcome to say what they want. i know what you mean by the human posession of natural competition, but even if there is any, it's hidden beneath a lot of good will.
