i cant understand why every one acted so worried when this place was goin down.
yet every one leaves pretty much not long after its back up.
i dont want to say it, but its the truth and i think every one knows it.
exasco is verry dead these days.

Unfortunetly most members won't do that :(
They feel embarrased or some such.
If members COULD do that though it would be awesome..

I dont mean to sound a bit harsh, but exasco does this occasionally. Mark and I have this conversation all the time, "exasco is losing members, exasco has like no posts" but ultimately for some on on this site exasco is a life saver, and even if its only for that one person, then exasco is alive and well... exasco is about helping people.
But like I said exasco does this occasionally, it will perk up again

yeah, we are losing some members. its also been a while since we had a bunch of new members. because the ones that stay seem to come in little packs, even if they dont know each other. its odd.
but yes, as nel said, it will perk up, just so long as we have those few that stick

ahh yes... the battle with gaining and losing members.
cyber is right, people are embarressed to tell people they use this site..
Buttt i think people would find that once people know how they feel, they will feel better.
Being open has saved me from myself.

I don't think it's about embarressment, I will gladly tell people on other sites...etc about exasco (ooh, good idea, I shall do this indeed) but it's that for a lot of us, this is a safe haven away from all the troubles we face off the internet, here is a place we can say how we really feel without our family or friends reading it, it's freedom to be ourselves for once.
I agree with being open, but it has to be a choice, I mean, I love my sponser, but honestly, I wouldn't want her to come on here, perhaps it's a protective thing, but for me it's about this site being seperate from my life outside of it and being able to talk about stuff that well, I don't want everyone I know off this site to know about. I think a lot of people come here because we can be open, here, and can't elsewhere.
But yeah, back to the point, sites often go up and down in members, it just happens, it will perk up again soon, as long as some of us stay!

I dont know if this thread is redundent or not but i personally never knew exasco was back up!
For all these years, i just coped. I happened to come past it when me and Elz one day happened to bring up how we met and that was through exasco! then i typed it in google and up you came *smiles*

the thing about advertiseing the site is i dont want my freinds to come on hear. I have no problem recomending the site to other people if they need us, but im not just going to direct freids that are looking for a new online community to join, this place is far to special to me

Aye.. What you are talking about CJ is the main reason... Word of mouth realy doesn't exist on this site for that reason...
People don't want to share the site with peopel they are close to...
But Dreams made the best point,

i refer ppl here as often as i can... im practically a walking spokesperson for this site.... i love it... i only found out it was back up again recently but i have told many many ppl who were looking for a good place to get help... this place has been a safe haven to me so i can only hope it will be for others too
