What would you like to see on Exasco?

Hey fellow members,
I have been pondering with myself to what exactly we are missing...
now its a hard question, because too much change is bad, too little is bad aswell..

so what are some suggestions that you guys have to make this site a better place for everyone?

post them here so other people can read and comment on them.

I completely agree, but to be honest I dont know what it is.
You know what might be nice, is if when you click on the name of the member, its like a mini profile, not full blown like myspace. But we can change the colours of things maybe the background... something like that

I don't really have anything to add, maybe change the template back to the way it was before

you know that little bar at the top of the screen? saying 'usercp , Faq, members list..etc' ? maybe change that because that kinda annoys me..but it's only a minor thing.

I agree with Confubbled that the bar needs to be fixed. Some times the buttons dont work (for me at least)... It would be really cool if it was to the side, and it would move down the page as you did... bit complicated, maybe just to the side thing. Only because Exasco does not always load properly and you cant scroll up

hmm I think we have everything we need,
but it seems like we don't have a really defined not subject but audience.

with old exasko it catered towards the crowed that it did, and it worked fine and drew the crowds and set the mood and what not.

do we need to head in that direction do bring the numbers in or just stick it out as were doing and just keep saying "hey were here, come chill"

What does exasco needs? Something that makes it different than the other support sites. That is what made the orginal exasco what it was. The only thing that is different than Teenmoods or goLivewire is the people who come here. Thus, the only people who come here are the people who have friends here. Other wise you might as well go to golivewire because they are different than other support sites.

I'm not sure who really followed the orginal exasco, but it had it's own content outside the forum. That made it special.

vBulletin is nice but it's a package. Exasco wasn't a package you could buy, it was truly a unqiue place. Perhaps the magic that was there, was lost when the creator stopped it.

Let me give you an example. There was a poetry section to the site outside the form, there was content outside the form, ect. There was also lyrics that fit the subject matter.

I think this was said above, but this site hasn't defined it's stance.

Here is what I would do if I ran this site.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Create a CMS, that would include articles, poetry, and lyrics that fit the subject matter. Content is very important! I cannot stress that enough.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Create a year book like script, not a forum that you post photos. So people could have like a record of what they looked like each year. I think that would be cool.

Have a script that allows people to document their days as a way to help them grow. Writing is very good, escpecially if they are going through a tough time. Maybe have both a public journal, but also a private journal b/c if you know people are going to read what you write, you won't be completely honest.
(d) Sort of picking up off C, I would think of ways you can help people with their problems. If you want to tackle addiction, not only have articles on addiction and how to over come it, but a way to document how well you are doing in your battle with whatever you are addicted to.

Those are just a few ideas.

I shouldn't tell you this, and Isaac would really be upset if he saw this, but he told me he is laying out a blue print for what I'll call Exasko 2.0. That's where my suggestions are coming from

OK, so i have to admit... i really like the idea about the private journal... at the moment i'm using Live Journal at the moment. cos that way i keep some things to myself.

I also agree with the putting the poems into sections.

yea i know isaac is building an exasko...
he told me this like 8 months ago.

And since we are all speaking our minds here..
Exasko..... used vbulletin... if you didnt notice....

and really, i would be nothing but happy if isaac re-opened his version of exasko again.
Im just here to fill the void of devastation that was left from everyone he abandoned..

We have blogs, that you can set to private...
we have a few other things aswell, i meann these days i really dont have the time to work on Exasco because im busy practically 24 hours of the day and the time i do get to spend on here is replying to people like you.

Not to sound harsh, but you kinda brought this on yourself from day one...
If you have your own idea of how to run this site, then where was it in september 2005?

Hehe, i know, it shits a few people..but it stops random pointless posts aimed only at only increasing post count that just waste peoples time...

Which wastes alot of our time because we have to delete/merge all of them
