I fell victim to my vices
Now I must fight this
Left to my own devices
Will I be a failure?
Will I be righteous?
What if I write this?
And no one likes this
Am I a great poet?
What makes me special?
How come I don’t know it?
Maybe
It’s these thoughts that are constantly
Haunting me
Comparisons that are taunting me
Telling me how short I have fallen
Belittling any confidence in me
Literally
I’m speaking honestly
I wish I knew who I was
So I wouldn’t feel like
There is something wrong with me
Forever it has seem
Someone’s always been better than me
What makes me special? I do not see
What is it that makes me so unique?
I’ve spent too much time ridiculing me
Fueling within me
A fire of negativity
Thinking of why I wasn’t glad to be me
Putting myself under a microscope
But we all got flaws if you look close
I called myself dumb and ugly too
Saw myself weak as she and inferior to you
Looked at myself as a complete waste of space
But now I must fight this and do a bow face
