A serial...(I didn't even remember writing these)
yeah, so I started writing a serial, and it's actually not half-bad, (at least in my opinion
It's a very rough draft of one of the stories (I'd give you the first one, but it's sadly not even closed to finished, but this on is the best one anyways) , so Tell me what you think, and I might keep posting bits and pecies here and there (but I can't promise they'll be in order) here is the first one!
The Whisper
She whispered into my ear yesterday...since then I couldn't stop thinking about her. I only met her a week ago, but boy since then has she rocked my world. I don't know what this feeling is, but whatever it may be, I know that I've definitely developed something for this girl.
We met by accident. She was walking thought the halls so absorbed in the music she was listening too. (Zune hidden securely in her left pocket). I was going thought a depressive spout and thus was not paying to much attention to the world around me. Both of us were in are own little world, and both of us just happened to walk right into each other. She didn't have any books in her hands or anything so the fall was relatively painless to her. I however was carrying a stack of books, one of the books landing square onto my crotch. (The rest of the books just landing randomly in different sections of the hallway). I was pretty much rendered speechless due to the fact that an atomic bomb just went off in my pants. I was unable to move because of the unbearable pain. She was also rendered speechless, though for a much different reason. It seems that she landed right on her Zune, breaking it. Needless to say, both of us were very much pissed. She gave me a look of pure anger (her eyes were almost in slits.) She stormed off without even saying a word to me, but kicked me in the groin, almost tripling the amount of pain that was already shooting thought my body. She then left, kicking any of my books that were in her way.
After about 3 minutes of pure hell (the pain now doubling inside my entire body and with many students starting to laugh at my misfortune). Terry (my best friend) finally showed up out of the wood-work to help me up. It didn't do very much because I still couldn't walk. So it took him and another one of my friends (Zach) just to pick up all my books and help me to my locker. By then I was feeling at least good enough to walk around. I asked my friends to leave. I propped myself up against my locker and started to collect the items I needed from it. Before I even picked up the my first book the bell rang. I was late to a class that the teacher would most definitely would of gotten on my case.
Later that day however, something very surprising thing happened. She came up and apologized, seemingly out of nowhere. The apology was very quick, and in a way seemed forced. Then off she went again. As if she never talked to me in the first place. It was about an hour later that Terry explained what was going on as we were lounging in the band room.
“It seems you wrecked something of hers” he started off cautiously
“You mean that girl I ran into this morning” I asked wondering where the hell Terry came up with that information
“Yeah, she wanted me to say that to you.” said Terry again choosing his words slowly and carefully, There was something up his sleeve.
“Is there a reason she choose you to tell me that? Sounds like she doesn't have the balls to say it to my face.” I said sort-of smug.
“No, but she knows how to plant her foot into yours.” said Terry showing that this was something to take seriously.
“Why should I bother, she was the one that ran into me, and she apologized.” I noted.
“I asked her to apologize” said Terry deciding that now was the time to come out with the truth.
“Oh really...” I said, a sudden realization popping thought my head. “Is there a chance your trying to hook us up?” I said now knowing of Terry's motive's
“Nonsense, Why would I try to hook you up with someone that currently can't stand you.”
“Because your the type that would try to get his best friend a date to prom.” I said knowing that Prom was only a week away.
“Nonsense” Terry repeated, thought this was clearly the case.
“I guess I'll just have to ask that other girl out then” I said testing Terry's motives
“What other girl?” he asked very casually, he knew me well enough to know that I was playing a game with him, He just didn't know the game I was about to play.
“Oh, just someone I happened to meet yesterday.” I said carefully choosing my words in order of the trap to be set.
“I see, so what is her name?” asked Terry wisely knowing again that this was probably a trap to sense his own motives.
“Oh, Even if I told you her name you wouldn't know the person.” I said casually resting my hands behind my head and lean back in the chair I was sitting in. I had to have him this time.
“Surprise me.” said Terry wisely, mimicking my movement in his chair. He was on to me this time.
“Hannah Greenfield.” I said in an obvious lie. This was of course a back-up date that we both established with each other a long time back, She however had found a date. She did go to a different school, and It was my guess that Terry did not know her.
“It's hard to ask someone that already has a date.” said Terry sternly. Dam it, he had me this time. I decided to stop trying to dodge the subject and end this game quickly
“So what are your motives Terry?” I asked again, trying to sound stern but ended up sounding childish
“I just the messenger” said Terry “You want answers go to her”.
Now there was a dilemma in all of this. I could go to her and risk losing the future ability to create children. Or I could not go to her, and have Terry be mad at me. Needless to say, I'm a man that looks towards the future...
I ended up going to see her anyways. I don't know what compelled me to do it. Probably curiosity, but she was cute too, but then again so are bears. I guess it's alright to look at a bear from the distance and observe, when there's a steel cage between you and that particular bear. There would be no cage between me and the girl with the Zune. Quite frankly I didn't know what was to happen. However when I did see her again. She noticed me and then she smiled. My first instinct was that this smile was like if a bear happened to look at you cutely, but actually that face meant that you looked appetizing to it. She then slowly began to walk towards me, I couldn't help but show the fear on my face, as if the bear had just reared itself up on it's hind legs and made a snarling howl to signal the coming attack. She grabbed my shoulder. Yup, I thought to myself, If there's a god out there, he's going to smite me using a women..typical, and I braced myself for what I though was going to be a punch to the stomach, or worse. Instead, she leaned her head in slowly so that her lips were at ear level, and slowly she whispered.'
“I asked Terry to hook us up.” and very slowly she let go of my shoulder and started to walk in the other direction. I look back in amazement. She returns my gaze and gives me a small wave. Dam, I thought to myself...what did I get myself into.
