Hiding Your Reality

One must do the right thing even when no one is around, or else one is a fraud. If one makes them out to look like they are doing the right thing when people are around, and not doing what they should do when no one is around, it’s only hurting them. When you must lie about what you are doing or have done, one knows what they are doing is wrong.

I heard a story once of a woman who had three kids. She would lie about how much work she did, and how much time she spent with her kids. The truth was, she slept a lot, and paid little attention to her children. If she thought nothing of how she was acting, if she thought inside she was doing the right thing, then why would she lie about it? It is because inside she knew she wasn’t taking care of business. It is the same thing with affairs. People hide their affairs but why? If they think they are doing the right thing, what is their to hide?

When you must lie about your actions it is a clear-cut sign that what you are doing isn’t the best thing for you, and you know it. Thus, if you catch yourself hiding or lying about something, ask yourself, should I be doing this and if you answer yes, then why must you hide it?
