Website Developement
After Discussion with Isaac and a few other members of the Exasco team, I personally have given the go ahead to Isaac for the development of unique features for Exasco.
Now by this you are thinking "What the?!?"
OK,
Isaac and myself have been discussing future ideas and options to improve exasco forums. This would mean Isaac would be an administrator and developer of the site.
Some of the idea's that Isaac has brought to the table are:
Creating a Blog for us
A unique content management system for the entire site.
A home page redesign, with a section that will contain articles.
a Diary/blog script for the good thoughts box.
a forum skin change.
He has vowed to commit all changes for the good of the forum.
He has also mentioned such features that will aid new members on the forum, by matching up users with interests with the new user.
And a Networking feature.
I think that Isaac himself will be able to elaborate more on this
I know some people are going to be annoyed that Isaac has been a member for 2 weeks and is now an administrator, but i would like to inform you that decisions arent made without alot of consideration.
It comes down to his skills that he can provide and the fact that he used to run exasko.

Here would be my plan of action. We'd first use forums as our article system. With the articles in place, we'd focus on marketing the site. Once we are doing well in the search engines, and bringing in new members, addition features will then be worked on.
Features that have been talked about are: journal/blog/diary, article system, content management system, meet people script, book submission/reviews, and more.
When it comes time to build new features/additions, I will make a list of possible features I'd like to build, and take in any suggestions, and at that time, as a forum, we will decide which to build.

sounds good
but surely having some of that stuff done would help to attract new members? rather than waiting until they're here to do it

Articles being the kind of things I've been posting in the Lounge forum. Adding addition things to the forum that are already available else where is no real grabber in itself. Such as a journal/blog. If you think one of the features listed above, or if you have your own idea of what would attract members, I would love it hear it.
I plan to develop exasco.info as I had planned on developing postexasko. That is, start out with a forum and articles, then work on marketing, and then add new features as membership increases.
