sooo I'm having trouble with my speakers. Only one of them is working but it makes everything sound like chipmunks...anybody have any ideas why this happened or how I can fix them?? Dad won't spend any more money on this computer and I don't have the money to get it fixed at the moment. It's really annoying.

so i'll go through the basic steps.
Have you checked the sound connection in the back of your computer?
If so and it is plugged in correctly,
Have you checked the connection to the back of the speakers?
If so and it is plugged in correctly,
Has there been any new software installed recently, even if it is not related to sound?

yeah, if the headphones don't work it's a computer/soundcard problem.
yup, and it's not as easy as a fix as if it were just the speakers :(
