Need to learn some self-control

Heya guys, long time no see. How is everyone?

I'm here cos I need a tad bit of help. I need to learn some restraint when it comes to my eating habits. I managed to lose a fair amount of weight (no idea how) a couple of years ago, but I've now put on over a stone since I started uni. The problem is, I'm such a binge eater its unreal! I just like food too much I guess. But yeah, do any of you guys know any decent self control techniques? I need to stop eating so much junk but just don't know how to go about it!

Love and hugs and shizzle,
Katie.

PROPORTION!
Portion everything, like for example when you eat dinner or anything, if you are eatting meat the size of your meat portion, should not be bigger than the size of you fist. You should have more vegatables on your plate than carbs... simple portion control can go along way.
You also have to fix your enivorenment. Your fridge, instead of cakes and cookies (just an example, I dont believe you are a hog), fill it with some fruits and veggies, or something more healty, instead of oreos have Nilla Wafers at an arms lenth. THis forces you start good eatting habits at the house, which you will not want to you ruin in public. You have to transform your cabinet and fridge, while you do not have to elimanate ALL junk, you should have very little of it, more health than junk in your house. Last but not least exercise, if you exercise you will think twice about what goes in your mouth.
I hope this helped... if you need anymore info let me know, my mum was a nutritionist

hey, that happened to me to at uni - i think cause of contuinal snacking and being in control of what you eat and when you eat rather than regular meal times with family.
be smart about what you eat - try not to snack but if you have to eat something healthy (if thats within the student loan, lol). i found that just making sure i ate at regular set times as regular meal. theres no point doing a diet because it just takes a drunken night out to start the binging - and then feeling guilty - then binging (the endless cycle).
i gues like nelyannya said proportion (but make sure it doesnt go out of control and that your sensable - a stone isnt that much remember!)
take care!

yea i found that aswell once i left highschool and was allowed to eat whenever i want..

its hard to do, but i guess you just have to pick for the healthier snacks that you life, its wierd but they have proved that the more junk food you eat, the more addicted you get to it, but if you eat healthy food more often you will hate it at at the start and love it by the end.

Try packing your own food, and only taking enough money with you to get to and from uni or incase of emergency.
This way you will save alot of money, lose a little weight and if you pack healthy you will eat and feel healthier.

btw how have you been notebook?

as they have said, get a lot of fruit and veges available for you. after about two weeks you start to get used to not eating all the junk food, and it gets pretty easy to say no to junk food. once you get into the routine of eating lots of fruit and vegetables it feels weird eating something thats bad for you.
also, with your meats, make sure you get lean cuts, they taste better annnd are better for you
