that is true, their is more to the UK than just England, you should definitly head north to the highlands, but make sure you pack a lot of wooly clothes, cos it is FREEZING up their, or you could head south west and cross into Wales, the only country in the world that you have to pay to leave.

About this commune buissness... i was recently involved in a crazey christian religus sect that lived in communes, i wouldnt advise it.

I didn't have to pay to leave Wales last time I went there

ah see thats where ur wrong cj lol if i had wanted to go to an english uni i would have been given a conditional offer and would have had to get Extrememly high grades in my advanced highers which are (and this has been proven) more difficult than the english A levels which english uni's accept rather than a scottish higher when they are almost of equal value

broken is right with everything there about the education levels.

but as far as racism goes, i think it goes both ways and i personally get really annoyed when someone says scotland is a part of england i fully believe that if we were to say england is part of scotland then a few english people wouldn't be too pleased. in general i think a lot of scots and english have a certain dislike towards each other but thats been going on since the two countries were fully formed.

the reason u would only get a conditional offer is because univercitys very rarely (as i was told by my admissions tutor) give a garunteed placement. but what i was refering to is the student grant system that you have up their, and wile i think its good, i truly do, i think that it should apply to English, Welsh and Northern Irish Students as the tax money that funds that (and the free perscriptions) comes from all over the UK not just Scotland
