Question Writing a book by exasco

Just like I have read sentences past around with True and False, I have proposition to make to the community. The other day at Barnes and Noble, I came upon a NY Times Best Seller Book called 5,000 ways to relax. This woman, the author is making tons of $$ and I'll show you how. Those who contribute can receive their %, figured through lawyers and publishing companies. We can also set aside a small % for payment to exasco to improve and keep a;ive what I consider i of the better web sites around. This book was published by Viking Press, a small company near my house. I can arrange the book with Pages on my Mac and by ,mac, for $50.00( I will pay the $50 dollars and exasco will always be the author and eventually it's own company. We'll all in this together.), they will make a book with pictires and a cover, a professional publication we cab present. All can contribute to the art and cover art. The book went as follows. Those who want to get involved can respond in a similar way.

1,000 Ways To Eliminate Stress

Read your favorite book at the beach
Walk your dog to the park
Play scrabble for the first time
Sit and water your garden
Take a drive to a place you have never gone to
Watch TV and forget about studying
Go to Starbucks and meet new people to speak to
Buy clothes for yourself at the mall
Call a friend from a long time ago
Take a ferry to an Island
Go fishing
Wash and wax your car
Eat a hamburger and drink a coke at Johnny Rockets
Buy a pair of cool sunglasses
Go out into the water at a beach and have the lifeguards save you
Read a biography, A Beautiful Mind about John Nash
Watch Batman

Add more and this the way the book is and then we can put it together. I think we have a hit and payment for your college education. When I saw this book, I said how could something like this make so much money. Sometimes it just an odd thing that makes it and has nothing to do with your profession. It's an original idea and different. We can make exasco a site to be admired and put it on the map with a best seller. I believe we can with all the intelligent people on this site. Let's go! Everyone is equal and has input on the title, phrases, etc. We are a community of authors. In the US, sometimes it is the easy and stupid things that make money. I think we all want to and keep exasco running for a long time. I see us being on Larry King. Dreams can come true if you want. A student at my wife's HS developed a program and is driving a Mercedes and making a lot of money. I'm not into material things like cars, but extra money would make life a little easier. Make it happen please!

I'm not on exasco so I can make a name for myself
and once a site becomes mainstream, Its under the scrutiny of the public, don't want to be that exposed and criticized.

I think it's a good idea, if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work, nothing bad, but if it does, then that's great..

i see no disadvantage....And it gives somthing to do as a community, because this is what exasco is, a community, and this is a community building exercise.

I like the idea lou.

I kinda agree with Pillz here. We don't have the man power to go mainstream, and if we do, then alot of people will possibly leave.I don't think this exasco is ready for it. not yet.
I'm sorry but this is how i feel.

I do believe it is an amazing idea. but it's just a bit risky i think.

yeah i agree with pillz and jess. of course it would be awesome and everything, but i dunno.

i mean something like a chicken soup for the soul book would be cool, but i dunno about using exasco cause so many people on here want things to be private. ya know.

See i think its a cool idea, but i think we'd better do a book on poetry or self help rather than stress relief...
Going mainstream is... err very out there.
Im not afraid of going mainstream, but with mainstream comes the endless spammers, the dickheads who want to start fights and the discrimination of others...
Its not something im not afraid of trying, but its also something that i think alot of people will not want to try because of personal preferences.

And to the people who want everything private... sometimes it hurts less when other people know, im not saying telling everyone everything...
But if your going to talk hate about people you know or how you feel or how others dont understand... maybe giving them abit of insight into your life and who truely are can help yourself and others.

If people know that you self harm and that you take drugs, smoke, drink... like boys, like girls etc... they are going to get over the fascinations pretty fast and with that goes the embarressment.

It does not have to draw attention to the exasco web site. We can make any name for the company and use our screen names, such as Pacific Artistic Creations, for example. Nothing personal about yourself like I said before. General observations or ideas of everyday life, but it will be written by many community members and have a variety of inputs on how to relieve stress. It's funny, but the book I mentioned made tons of $. No one should be scared. I just got another idea.

When parking and listening to your favorite song, listen and wait until it is over before you shut down your car.

No personal stuff about yourself, just things you see during the day or think about. 10 items may take a couple of ideas, but everyone keeps their screen names. We will make $ with a collection of many ideas. Think of the comedians like Carlin, Carvey, Lewis Black, Eddie Murphy mention real things in a funny way but in no way does it relate to them in a personal way.

REMEMBER NOT GOING MAINSTREAM WITH EXASCO AND USE A PENN NAME. A GOOD OPPOTUNITY TO MAKE MONEY. I'LL BOOK WILL BE DIFFERENT THAN THE NY TIMES BEST SELLER IN THAT THERE WILL BE MANY SUGGESTIONS ON THE SUBJECT AND THEY WILL COME FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, GIVING A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE AND VARIATIONS TO THE WAYS TO REMOVE STRESS. OR ANYONE CAN SUGGEST A NEW NAME. WE ALL CAN CONTRIBUTE. Once again, I'll pay for the binding and hussle to publishing companies to present it. There are many companies in NY.

PLEASE RECONSIDER. NO TRACES OF YOU AND THE WEB SITE.

its a nice idea, but im not sold on it. If the book took off all some one would have to do is type us into google (like you all ready can)and BOOM mainstreem city. Also, their are a lot of issues with us setting our selves up as a company or organisation in an official capacity, such as what countrys law to we abide by? and their are a HELL of a lot of Child Protection Issues that would need to be considerd

afraid to go public
scared to be recognized
everyone will know about exasco and come down on us
going google and then going mainstream
people who want to be private
talking about people you know
power to do it
everyone would know we do drugs

This is all I have heard so far. I have clarified my reponses to remove confusion and fear. First, it is a group of writers that stand a chance of actually publishing a book with different ideas from different locations of the world and USA. try to beat that i declare to the author I spoke about who wrote the book. If that POS can make $,WE CAN. It has nothing to do with exasco at all, NO connection TO YOU AND THE SITE., penn names will be used for the book and exasco is only a vehicle for the people who want to get involved to write, edit, bind the book( I will do this and pay for free, no extra commission) and present it with no traces of the book coming from exasco. Ralph Lipshitz was Ralph Lauren and if you believe I am Lou Vitti then fear controls your life. Take a chance with no one to know. How can they? Would you buy a shirt from a famous designer called Ralph Lipshitz. Many actors, writes, musicians use penn neames fpr bank acct reasons and their children. Slash from Guns&Roses real name is Saul Hudson.

Now COURAGE. Way back, during the revolutionary wall, John Adams and me had courage to create a new nation. We couls have been captured by the British and hung. We were smart, we got Thomas Jefferson to write the Declaration while we had fun. TJ was necessarily a valedictorian if you know what I mean.
In music, I never looked back but forward. I practiced things I could not play, real slow to get better. If you play what you know, you never improve.
THE WIZARD OF OZ. All the lion wanted was COURAGE. Why? Because it teaches us to move on positively with life.
DRUGS: some people experience fear, anxiety, panic, depression because drugs alter our brain chemistry. It is not us but the drugs or demons that change our life while we lay around and do nothing for ourselves to improve or get better grades. We become complacent and have no ambition. I am not criticizing anyone because I was there. Since my head injury, I have attented a head trauma program and have most of my short term memory, attention, comprehension back as normal. Some people in the class are not as fortunate. They speak slowly, are in wheelchairs and some were hit by drunken drivers at 60mph. Their lives have stopped. They remember nothing from the past. People party but DWI laws are a lot tougher, including jail, than when I drove Model T Fords. Then you have to live forever in what you did to a person. I'm not going there for now!
I HOPE TO CLARIFY THIS SUBJECT. ALL WILL BE LEGAL AND PLEASE, ELIMINATE YOUR FEARS. IF YOU HAVE TO, SEE A DOCTOR. THEY WORK BECAUSE THEY HELPED ME FROM BEING ALMOST PSYCHOTIC AFTER THE FALL TO BEING BACK AGAIN AS THE REAL LOU VITTI.

COURAGE. IT'S HARD TO ACHIEVE BUT IS VERY VERY POSSIBLE AND YOU WILL GET IT BACK

Ciao

What makes you think it would sell?
Eliminating stress is basically the same as relaxing, so what would be the point in creating a much smaller version of a bestseller? Of course the NY Times version was a best seller - it's the NY Times. Copying that would be pointless because it wouldn't sell.
Also, the hassle of working out percentages and getting money to people wouldn't be worth the amount actually made - if any was made at all.
I'd be surprised if a publishing company would actually agree to go through with it to be honest.

Sorry, just my two cents.

Eh, everyone makes a point.

What i have observed is that everyone is afraid to go public...

personally I think that above anything it is a good idea to create somthing together as a community to strengthen exasco and the bonds within it...no matter what it is...

And a book is a good idea, maybe not stress relief...but it is a good idea for a community building exercise.
