Question Teen Pregnancy

I'm not really too sure how this is going to turn out, for me or against me, but this is what I've got to say.

I'm not for teen pregnancy, but I'm not against. Meaning, that I wouldn't advise that be a route to go down. I'm 17 and pregnant, but lucky for me, I have some of my family backing me and helping me and I've got the father of the baby with me. Luckily he plans on staying and we are getting married and etc....But not anytime soon I don't think.

It really bugs me out though when people who are against teen pregnancy are really rude to you/me. Example: When I go to the store to look at prices of baby stuff or buy diapers and wipes and clothes in advance, women will walk past me, give me a dirty look or make a remark....That kinda stuff really hurts my feelings. Is it right to do that or wrong...What do you think?

It's never right to be rude to another human. No matter what.

Its not like your a murdere or rapist your a young women brave enough to bring a baby into the world. And 17 is a pefectly legall age, its not like your 14 with no father around
and no clue.

I think your doing an amazing job and i think ti's shit they treat you like that. IF you'd had an abbortion they'd judge and scorn you for that too. Hold your head up high and post cute babie pictures when it arrives, Good luck. x

i agree with gail

but i'm with you on the teen pregnancy, i don't disagree with it but i don't agree with it either, i guess it depends on the circumstances, 17 is nearly an adult.

my mum's friend was telling us this story the other week when we were staying with them and at her nieces(sp?) school, there was a 13 year old girl onto her 3rd pregnancy, in those circumstances i think it's wrong, and the boy she was pregnant by had got 4 other girls pregnant as well, he was only 13 too. i think that's a shocking situation

but i'm happy for you, good luck with everything and yeah i want to see some cute baby pictures too please

Yeah, I that's where I am with the part that I don't disagree on. 13 is way to young to be pregnant that many times over. This is only my first.

ABOUT THE BABY PICTURES:
That may have to wait for a lil while unless I get my mom to scan them onto her computer and them email them to me... But that may be unlikely....

There's nothing wrong with Teen Pregnancy if you are prepared to look after it well and it seems to me like you are.

The people in the shops have no right to be rude to anyone else in there..They're just jelous becuase they couldn't get laid at your age

I was raised that every action you take has a consequence and you must deal with that consequence, no questions asked....So yeah, and I've thought about it and I'm not going to take on having this child cuz of how I myself was raised, but because it is a human being also and deserves just as much TLC as everyone else on this planet.

alrighty, thats one way to look at it.....

anyways, most of the time i am against it. i guess cause most of the girls that got pregnant at my school were ones that really shouldnt be having babies cause they cant even take care of themselves. its like babies raising babies. that doesnt seem right to me. but its not like im gonna hate the girls that got pregnant. some of them are actually really good people and i know they will be good parents. ya know. but i also know a few that just cant do it. like my stupid cousin. she was 18 when she got pregnant, with twins.

well she is one of those that shouldnt have babies. i hate her for what she has done to those babies. i would go into details but im sure you dont want to hear it. okay so i guess i just dont like when druggies or drunks or people like that (i hope that dont offend anyone... sorry if it did), but they shouldnt have babies. they need to get their act straight before they even think about having a baby. anyways, i have a friend that has a baby. she is 18, maybe 19 now. cant remember. well she got pregnant and had her baby a few months after we graduated. but i think she is a great mom cause she knows what she is doing, and she is mature enough to have a baby. ya know. so thats my opinion. its something i feel really strong about. i could write alot more, but i wont.

okay something else, in your case, if you are willing to change your ways to take care of a baby then good for you. just dont forget to take care of the baby the way you are supposed to, it kills me when people dont take care of their babies right. and the fact that you actually care and that you try is a great step in the right direction. oh and if you are in school, dont quit school. thats the stupidest thing someone can do. continue your education and do everything like normal. just cause there is a baby on the way doesnt mean you have to quit school and all that stuff, well good stuff i mean. oh and you have to take lots of baby pics, thats the biggest rule! ha. cause you might regret it if you dont take lots. so do you know if its a boy or girl? and what about names? you gotta keep us posted on how everything is going. okay. good luck!

I am not against teen pregnancy; I am against the system behind it. If only we had more access to birth control and abortion. If people want to reduce the number of abortions and teen pregnancies, they should get rid of abstinence programs and instill realistic birth-control friendly programs... because no matter how much you bitch & moan over it, kids are going to have sex and find a way to abort fetuses.

Some people will raise a kid like shit, some will raise it well...you gotta give them a chance though...i just think you can't assume that no teens can look after their kids because SOME teens screwed up.

Edit: You also have to remember that alot of adults screw up the same as the teens do, because they are on drugs or whatever...This is more about should they be allowed to have a baby because they are a teenager.

Oh yeah, teens definetly need to show some responsibility with that sort of stuff, i'm against that too...but if somone decides that they want a child, with a known father...then i'm definetly not opposed to that.

I'm kinda against abortion. . . That wasn't an option for me. But I do agree with the bc friendly programs.
