In a darkened void of deafening silence and broken promises, a little girl screams at the black for help… yet bites all that approach. No one listens and why should they?
Five years pass and the little girl is now a little adult in a little world that thinks its big. The black creeps in the edge of her vision, but reports and assignments keep her from dwelling.
She no longer screams but silent sobs choke her dreams.
No one understands… few want to. She clutches the chards of hope that is those precious tight in her hand that they cut deep. To feel is wondrous - Refreshing against the numb.
The keyboard becomes an outlet. She wants to save others. To be there for those at the beginning middle and end of the black - because she know the void and it hurts.

A Blog aimed at CJdude (aka How SGA is better than SG1)

Cj,
The argument concerning which is better, SG1 or SGA cannot be won as appeal depends on perception. However, I shall attempt to outline the reason why I believe the Stargate Atlantis team is better than that of SG1 or Stargate SG1. Such reasons include:
-General “feel” / Atmosphere – the more sinister feel of Atlantis is much more exciting than the candycane playground of the SGC. Haha.
-Characters Sheppard vs O'Neill (better hair), Sheppard vs Daniel (Sheppard is prettier) , McKay vs Carter (Carter sucks ass – I’m NOT a carter fan, se is too much of a Mary Sue character), McKay vs Daniel (Mckay is a more believable geek), Teyla vs Carter (Teyla is WAY hotter), Teyla vs Teal'c (Tough one, I love Teal’c), Ronon vs Teal'c (better hair)
-Better Bad guys (Wraith vs Gould – the Marilyn Manson vampires of the galaxy vs slugs – COME ON!!!!)
-Storylines – SG1 got repetitive… I mean, how may time can Daniel die?

This is just a prelim arguement.

i take your argument on the repetitve story lines, but SG1 was around for 10 years so you are bound to get repetitve story lines.

The only good leader of Atlantas was Carter! Wear was not belivable, why would the millatery allow a civillian run an out post? and dont get me started on Wallsey (the Dr)

I did like Carter as the Atlantis leader (especially when she upped Ellis for being mean to Mckay)however I did not find Weir unbelievable as the Atlantis team was cilivian with the IOA to run it. The original funtion of the military was to protect the scientists, therefore it makes sense that the leader should be a cilivian with a military advisor (Sheppard). This is also true in the case of Woolsy (who I think is rather cool) - he has to put Atlantis first and I think he does a better job than carter who too often gets caught up in the human element.
Being around for 10 years is no excuse! I loved the Vala character because she was new and fresh but Cameron mitchell was such a O'Neill wannabe. I wanted to see Carter and Teal'c in the spotlight more. I loved where they went with the Daniel charater because his experiences at the SGC shaped and altered his character.
But I can't help loving McKay and Sheppard banter... maybe because it reminded me of the early days of the daniel / O'neill banter. Some thing that bugged be about SG1 was that you always knew the 4 main characters would be ok... SGA is scarier because you know that TPTB aren't afraid to be truthful to the context and kill someone off. It made it more real, you know?
