I have taught myself methods.
When people laugh near me I breathe, I count in my head, I think about a complecated procedure, like how body digests food, or how to write a speech and present.
Normally by the time I am done throughly think about whatever it is, the commotion that flared my anxiety has ceased.
They key is to get you mind off it. To focus and I mean focus on something else.
