It's your Birthday and I'm still Sane
Today is your 21st birthday, you can legally be drunk
Today is your 21st birthday, and for once I'm not the drunk
For 4 years I loathed the 19th of February,
And every Wenesday and Sunday in this wretched month, oh its not that bad...
Oh and the umh something of March and May
See, I cant even remember the dates
For once on this day,
I am not staying at home,
Im not wearing baggy pants that even the Nazi's couldnt get in,
I'm not flipping through my books of poetry pissed off how you stole my gift,
Im not eatting a bowl of icecream and then throwing it up, for fear that if out of the blue you would see me, and thing ughhhh.
I'm not contemplating the complexity of the stupidity of a preteen and an adult... it was both our faults, and that doesnt upset me
Infact it is 3 30 in the morning, 3 hours and a half after the 19th and only now does it cross my mind, that today is your birthday.
My wounds are healed
My scars are faded
And I'm at the stage...
I Forgive you...
Happy Birthday
Natasha
